I took a trip to my Tumblr archive to see what I was working on about 10 years ago….

My early days with graphic design were mainly centered around portraits because it was the best way to practice the most skillsets within one project. Portraits helped me master the pen tool, gradients, shapes and all the other elements that helped boost my design tool-belt to what it is today. Portraits were also a great entry to my Expressionist art. It provided me the practice of telling a feeling with just a face, distortion and color.

Im not sure if other creatives have this problem….but I feel like I can and want to do just about everything but when you can do everything how do you market it all? How do you tell people “hit me for whatever, I can figure it out”?

Still a WIP. I’ve been thinking about making a book of my life’s work, it just feels like the easiest way to say “here. Look. I’ve done it all”. I do it all because I feel like a lot of design elements can’t exist without the other.

for example. Designing the logo created room for direction into the posters. The posters created room for direction into the web design. The web design inspired the drink menus. The drink menus impacted the room. Put them all together and you have a full experience and campaign. That’s what I do. I help tell stories and reach goals. Design meets strategy

There’s a name for that. Somebody help me out lmao
