In order that people are not alone during the Christmas season our local churches organised a communal Christmas dinner and entertainment at the Methodist Church Hall and also provided a Christmas dinner to people who were shut in at home. Thank you to our lovely carer Nosheen who volunteered to drop some meals and take our lovely James to the church for Christmas Dinner. Company at Christmas it was a pleasure supporting you!

Christmas can be a fun time but it can also be challenging for many people.

At Lean On Me all the carers are well trained both in theory and practical skills. The training is ongoing, so each individual is regularly given the opportunity to grow in their own qualifications and aptitude.

Lean On Me is assessed regularly by CQC and also through User Questionnaires. Our professional carers deliver excellent support to those in need, not only in the practical sense but in the quality of their attitude to the client and their family.

Another fantastic quiz night hosted by the lovely Amanda and Marion!
Health and wellness benefits aside, trivia is a great activity for seniors for one very simple reason: It’s fun!
Even if your loved one is experiencing signs of dementia, they can excel at trivia games. For people with dementia, retrieving short-term memories can be difficult, whereas older memories are often recalled with great detail. So while your loved one may have a hard time remembering what he or she ate for breakfast, they might easily recall which year the Beatles released Rubber Soul (1965, FYI.)
