Could a Smoke Detector See This Fire?

In fuel storage areas, aircraft hangars, power generation facilities and chemical processing environments, a fire can develop long before smoke detection becomes effective. In these situations, flame detection can provide valuable early warning and help reduce the risk of significant damage.

One solution worth considering is the Johnson Controls Fireclass FV411F Triple Infrared Flame Detector.

Designed for high-risk applications, the FV411F uses Triple IR Solar Blind sensing technology to detect flames whilst remaining highly resistant to false alarms caused by sunlight and other common sources of interference.

With a detection range of up to 65 metres for a 0.1m² n-heptane pan fire, the FV411F can provide rapid flame detection across large open areas where traditional detection methods may be less effective.
