A Hornucopia of saxophones at St Paul's Working Mens Club on Friday 17th June for a celebration of 25 years of Blackburn's favourite community street band, BLOWJANGLES. Fronted by 9 saxophonists, they were augmented by several former members stomping their way through a Ska-laced set of iconic brassy favourites Monkey Man, Message to you, Rudi, Get Up Stand Up and One Step Beyond - Shamrock sound men, Sham & Neil helping the house rock!

We had our first post-lockdown album session last week - it was great to have customers in the studio again and we can't wait for you to hear the fun Irish tunes we recorded with the family trio in these photos.

With the current Lancashire COVID-19 restrictions, it's the perfect time to bring your family into Shamrock. One household or support bubble can use our live room without the need for social distancing and masks, and there's 5 layers of glass between the musicians and the engineer! This father and sons trio are with us over the weekend recording some lively Irish folk tunes.

Sad times at the studio: our beloved studio cat Pusscat/Margaret/Maggie didn't return from the vets this week. She had a good innings and we know she loved her life at The Garth; she'll be sadly missed ❤️❤️❤️

Our latest project: Nick Caffrey and his group Th' Antiques Roadshow, performing traditional folk songs in unaccompanied male harmony. Nick is recording two CDs of material at Shamrock this year, we can't wait to share the results with you.
