🚨 Its Global Asbestos Awareness Week.

Despite a full ban in 1999, asbestos exposure is still the cause for over 5,000 work-related deaths every year across the UK and Ireland.

Workers are still at risk - this week focuses raising awareness of asbestos risks and the importance of safety.

🇬🇧 The Health and Safety Executive’s Managing and working with asbestos ACOP continues to provide practical requirements for compliance with The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 and The Control of Asbestos Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2012.

🇮🇪 In December 2025, the Health and Safety Authority published an updated code of practice for asbestos, which must be followed under the Safety, Health and welfare act at work (exposure to asbestos) regulations 2006-2025 in Ireland.

It's World Wildlife Day! 🌸🌱
