🛑 Ever wondered what a wasp nest looks like on the inside?
Take a look at this tiny nest we recently removed! 🛠️
While it might look like a neat little science project, you’re actually looking at a wasp factory in action. Inside those hexagonal cells, you can see wasp larvae growing and getting ready to hatch into workers.
The white, dome-like tops are silk caps, meaning the larvae inside are pupating and preparing to emerge as fully grown wasps.
💡 Fun Fact:
Wasps build these intricate nests out of chewed wood pulp mixed with their own saliva—essentially creating their very own papier-mâché homes!
⚠️ A Friendly Reminder:
As fascinating as it is, a small nest can turn into a massive problem with thousands of defensive wasps very quickly. If you spot one growing near your home or business, don’t try to handle it yourself!
