The best place to start with digital transformation isn't software. It's frustration.

If you asked a small business owner which digital tools they needed, they might struggle to answer.

Ask them what they spend every evening chasing, copying, searching for or trying to remember, and you'll probably get a very different response.

That's where useful digital transformation begins.

Start with the problem. Then find the tool.

Take something as simple as customer onboarding.

Instead of exchanging multiple messages to collect information, explain what a customer needs to prepare and find those details again before an appointment, a simple digital process could collect the information upfront, store it together and automatically communicate the next steps.

The result isn't simply "more technology."

It's less administration, fewer interruptions and more time available for the work that actually generates value.

And digital improvement can also uncover opportunities.

One of our Digital Accelerator learners, **Ozgul Kumral**, recognised that she had an audience on social media but no way to maintain that relationship beyond individual posts.

She created a subscription form to begin building an email list and started developing useful content for her audience.

That quickly created new commercial conversations, including interest from an existing client and a collaborator exploring similar support.

Her reflection was simple:
