NOMAD SERVICES GROUP WEEKEND OPERATIONS UPDATE

What a fantastic weekend for the Nomad team across Blackpool and the Fylde Coast.

This weekend saw our teams supporting a wide range of venues and events, including the vibrant and inclusive Blackpool Pride celebrations. As a company, we are proud to work alongside many LGBTQ+ venues and clients throughout our portfolio, helping create safe, welcoming environments for everyone to enjoy.

We were also honoured to provide security support at another outstanding event hosted by Viva Blackpool. Viva continues to attract prestigious guests, performers and visitors from across the UK, and it is always a pleasure to be part of these professionally run events.

One of the highlights of the weekend was seeing members of the Nomad team meet former England and Premier League footballer Emile Heskey, who was attending Viva. Opportunities like this are a reminder of the variety of venues, events and people our staff have the privilege of working alongside.

A huge thank you goes out to all our Door Supervisors, Head Door Supervisors, Area Managers and Operations Team who worked throughout the weekend to maintain the high standards our clients expect from Nomad.

Stand out shout out

While on duty, Casey responded to a male who had suffered a serious fall and was bleeding heavily.

Without hesitation, he went straight over to assist, helping control the bleeding while keeping the individual calm as he became distressed, panicked, and began seizing. Casey stayed with him, continued communicating with him, and provided reassurance until emergency services arrived around 15 minutes later.

Moments like this show that security is about far more than simply standing on a door.
It’s about staying calm under pressure, protecting the public, and stepping forward when people need help most.
