Half way through 2026 already…
As we reach the midway point of the year, it feels like a good opportunity to reflect on what has been an incredible six months, both professionally and personally.
At NWCS, the first half of 2026 has been our busiest and most rewarding yet.
Over the last six months we’ve supported clients across a wide range of sectors, helping secure almost £5 million of completed property funding, alongside a growing pipeline of opportunities moving through the lender journey.
Some of the highlights have included:
🏢 £4.885 million of completed property transactions
🤝 A £2 million acquisition facility agreed and progressing
🏠 Buy-to-let and portfolio funding for experienced investors
🌉 Bridging finance supporting acquisitions, refurbishments and exit strategies
🍽️ Funding solutions for hotels, restaurants and hospitality operators
📈 Commercial finance helping businesses grow, invest and plan for the future
Behind every completion is a client with a goal, a challenge or an opportunity, and I am grateful to everyone who has trusted NWCS to be part of that journey.
We continue to work with a carefully selected panel of over 200 reliable lenders, focusing on delivering solutions that work rather than simply providing options.
But whilst business is important, the moments away from work are the ones that truly matter.
This year my dad celebrated his 80th birthday. A remarkable milestone and a reminder that time spent with family is something we should never take for granted.
Earlier in the year, my son Jack married his beautiful bride Bayleigh. Watching him begin the next chapter of his life was one of the proudest moments a father can experience. Making it even more special was seeing his cousin proudly stand by his side as best man.
My daughter Gracie has completed her GCSEs, enjoyed her prom, and has been accepted into Pendleton this September. Watching her grow into a confident young woman and pursue her ambitions has been incredible to see.
Personally, I reached the big 5-0 and had the privilege of celebrating in Dublin with some of my closest friends. Great company, plenty of laughs and memories that will stay with me for years to come.
And then there is my favourite title of all…
Papa Reid.
Being a grandad to Rowan brings a perspective that no business achievement ever could. The laughter, the cuddles, the endless energy and seeing the world through his eyes is a gift I never fully appreciated until it arrived.
As we head into the second half of 2026, I feel incredibly fortunate.
Grateful for family.
Grateful for friendships.
Grateful for clients who continue to place their trust in us.
Grateful for colleagues, introducers and lenders who support us every day.
And grateful for the opportunities that the next six months will bring.
Here’s to making the second half of 2026 even more memorable than the first.
