Cut vinyl lettering on the window of Smithson Jewellers. When the stock in your window does the selling, the branding has to frame it, not cover it.
If you're weighing up window graphics, here's the honest version:
π Cut vinyl beats a printed panel for retail. No background, so every inch of glass keeps working β and the stock stays on show, which matters double for a jeweller: folk need to see in for security as much as for browsing.
π Layout goes round the display sightlines. The name sits in the frame of the window, not slap across the rings. Costs nothing in lost display and reads like etching from across the street.
π Inside face is where it belongs in our weather. On the inside of the glazing it's out of reach of grit, rain and window cleaners, and a bit of condensation in February does it no harm.
π Leased shop? It strips off clean years down the line without wrecking the glass.
Upkeep: warm water and a soft cloth. No blades, no scrapers.
This one went on in a morning, with the shop back trading by lunch.
