When I was younger, I always said I’d be on TV.
I thought I’d be an actress… not a crime scene cleaner 😂

Turns out manifesting works in some very weird and wicked ways.

In the same year, one of my businesses was featured on Channel 4 and Channel 5 and I ended up being the face of the Channel 4 show.

Not because I planned TV.
But because I built something real, stayed consistent and didn’t quit when it got hard.

This isn’t about cleaning.
It’s about what can happen when you stop waiting and start building.

One thing I do differently in my coaching is this 👇

Instead of forcing every client into a rigid business plan from day one, I often help them build a visual business mind map.

This is one we’ve created together during a free coaching programme with Chemo & Co, a purpose-led cancer support journal brand 💛

Why mind maps?

Because business needs flexibility.

Traditional business plans are brilliant if you’re:
• Applying for funding or finance
• Setting up legal structures or partnerships
• Pitching to investors

But for many founders, especially in the early stages, they can feel overwhelming and restrictive.

A mind map allows you to:
• See the whole business clearly
• Spot gaps and opportunities
• Adapt as things change
• Grow without feeling boxed in

They’re also especially helpful for neurodivergent founders (like me), where visual thinking often works better than long documents.

School didn’t teach us how to build wealth.
And most “business coaches” have never actually run a business.

Funny thing is, I studied Business Studies.
I also did business coaching qualifications.
And none of it taught me how to actually run, build or scale a real business.

It was all systems, frameworks and theory.
No real-life chaos.
No cash flow pressure.
No staff issues.
No risk.

We even had an English teacher teaching our business course who nobody could understand because the accent was so strong. Safe to say, nobody learned much from that either.

Real business skills don’t come from textbooks.
They come from doing it.

I’ve built multiple companies from the ground up.
I’ve flipped businesses.
I’ve managed teams, money, pressure and real-world problems.

Experience beats theory. Every time.
