🎣 Fishing Group Recap – Another Brilliant Day at Blyth Harbour! ☀️🐟

What a fantastic day down at the harbour! It was brilliant to see so many people come along for today’s fishing session, and as always, it’s great welcoming new faces alongside our regular attendees. The more people the better – everyone is welcome, and it’s amazing to see our fishing family continue to grow week after week. 💙

The weather was finally on our side again, which always makes the day that bit more enjoyable. Between the group we had some great catches too, ranging from plenty of bait fish to some decent-sized mackerel, keeping everyone smiling throughout the session.

And finally… I DIDN’T BLANK FOR ONCE!!! 😂🎣 Geet up, sausage!

Another brilliant day out with an even better bunch of people. Thank you to everyone who came along, had a laugh, and made the session what it was.

I’m already looking forward to seeing you all again next week. Well done, everyone! 👏

Looking for a great way to start your morning? Join us tomorrow for a FREE, friendly fishing session down at Blyth Harbour.

Whether you’re an experienced angler or you’ve never held a rod before, everyone is welcome – Horizons North East clients, local residents, families and anyone who fancies giving fishing a go!

🎣 Fishing Group Recap – Another Huge Turnout! ☀️🐟

Yesterday’s fishing group was absolutely packed once again, with even more new faces joining us alongside our regular members! It was fantastic to see the group continuing to grow week after week, and this week we had over 20 people come along and take part! 😲👏

One of the highlights of the day was seeing one of our youngest members catch a fish on his first ever attempt at fishing — and at just 6 years old! 😲🎣
Wow, man… well done dude! 👏🤣 Absolutely brilliant to see!

I’m absolutely loving seeing more and more families coming along and enjoying the group together, alongside individuals who simply want to get outdoors, meet people, have some fun and enjoy a bit of fishing. That’s exactly what we want our group to be about — bringing people together and creating a welcoming environment for everyone. 💙

A massive thank you once again to my handy helpers who were kept busy setting up rods, tying lines and getting equipment ready for others. With more than 20 people attending, you certainly helped keep things moving! 😂👏

The atmosphere was absolutely brilliant throughout the session, with plenty of smiles, laughter, conversations and people helping each other out.

Over 20 people, new faces, families, regulars and a 6-year-old catching on his first attempt — what more could we ask for?! 🎣🙌

Well done everyone! Brilliant effort and an even better atmosphere.

Our fishing group is open to everyone – Horizons clients and members of the local community. Whether you’re an experienced angler or have never picked up a fishing rod before, you’ll be made to feel welcome.

🎣 Fishing Group Recap – Our Biggest Turnout Yet! ☀️🐟

A massive thank you to each and every one of you who came along and took part in yesterday’s fishing group. We had an absolutely fantastic turnout, with our biggest attendance to date! 👏🎣

It was brilliant to see so many people down at the harbour, and although it was certainly a busy one, it made for an amazing day out in the sunshine with such a fantastic group of people. Seeing everyone getting involved, having fun, enjoying the fresh air and simply spending time together is exactly what these sessions are all about. 💙

I’d also like to give a special thank you to some of our regular members who were brilliant throughout the session, helping others get their equipment set up, offering advice, and giving a helping hand whenever someone needed it. That support from our regulars is hugely appreciated and really helps make newcomers feel welcome.

It’s fantastic to see how much the group continues to grow, and I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who continues to come along and make these sessions what they are.

Hopefully we’ll see many of you back down at Blyth Harbour next Tuesday from 9am for another great session! 🎣

And please… DON’T be like me and forget your cap or sunscreen! 🙄🤣

We have some exciting news to share!

📢 From now on, all of our Healthy Cooking Group sessions will be held at our new venue:

We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone to our new location and continuing to enjoy great food, good company, and plenty of fun together.

We’ll be making a delicious homemade cottage pie with a healthy twist. It’s a hearty, nutritious meal that’s full of flavour and perfect for learning how to cook a comforting, low-cost dish that you can easily recreate at home.

🎣 Fishing Group Recap – Blyth Harbour ☀️🦞

Today our fishing group met back down at Blyth Harbour after yesterday’s session had to be cut short due to the bad weather. We all agreed to recommence this morning, and thankfully the weather was much kinder to us, making for a fantastic morning by the water.

We had a brilliant turnout today, with lots of young people and their families joining us, alongside our regular members. It was fantastic to see everyone enjoying themselves together, with plenty of smiles, laughter, and great conversations throughout the session.

The catches certainly kept everyone entertained too! Between the group we managed to catch lobsters, herrings, crabs, and plenty of small bait fish, making it another successful day down at the harbour. It was especially brilliant watching the younger members enjoying the experience and learning from some of our more experienced anglers. Seeing different generations come together, sharing knowledge and encouraging one another, is exactly what our group is all about. 💙

As always, our fishing group is open to everyone, whether you’re an experienced angler or you’ve never picked up a fishing rod before. We provide all of the equipment needed, so all you have to do is come along and enjoy the fresh air, great company, and everything our beautiful coastline has to offer. It’s always a pleasure welcoming new faces while seeing our regular members return week after week.

We hope you all enjoyed today’s session as much as we did. It was fantastic to be back outdoors with the sun on our faces after yesterday’s weather!

The wait is finally over, and I honestly can’t wait to see you all again! I’ve really missed everyone over the past few weeks, and I’m looking forward to catching up with all our regulars and welcoming some new faces too.

Every Tuesday from 9AM, you’ll find us down at Blyth Harbour enjoying everything that makes our fishing group so special.

💙 Everyone is welcome!

Our group is open to Horizons North East clients and the wider community. Whether you’ve never picked up a fishing rod before or you’ve been fishing for years, you’ll receive a warm welcome. We pride ourselves on creating a friendly, inclusive environment where everyone can relax, have a laugh, and enjoy the outdoors together.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 School Holidays – Bring the Kids!

Children are more than welcome to come along during the school holidays and experience the fun of fishing. We simply ask that all children are accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.

For health and safety, if you’re bringing a group of young people, we kindly request a minimum ratio of one adult to every four young people.

Horizons North East provides all the fishing equipment you’ll need, and our friendly team and experienced members are always happy to offer advice, support, and help you get started.
