🎣 Fishing Group Update – The Fish Are Finally Back! 🐟🌊

Well, today was a lot more productive on the catch front than it has been for quite some time! 🎉

Across the group we managed to reel in 4 fish, a few crabs, and even a starfish, which certainly kept things interesting and made for a great session down at the harbour. ⭐🦀🐟

It was absolutely brilliant to see some previous clients joining us again, as well as welcoming new faces to the group. One of the best things about these sessions is seeing everyone come together, sharing advice, having a laugh, and enjoying the fresh air and good company.

The weather was mostly kind to us today, which always helps, and looking ahead to next week, the forecast is looking even more promising. Let’s hope that means even more fish decide to make an appearance! 🤞🎣

A massive well done to everyone who came along and took part today. Thank you for making the group what it is.

I look forward to seeing you all again next week for another great session down at the harbour! 👏💙

Our fishing group is open to everyone – Horizons clients, local residents, complete beginners, and experienced anglers alike. Whether you’re hoping to catch a fish, meet new people, or simply enjoy some time outdoors, there’s a place for you with us.

🍽️ Food Group Update 🍽️

Our group was once again a little on the small side today when it came to numbers, but that certainly didn’t stop everyone from coming together, getting involved, and having a great time.

Today’s challenge was making our own homemade chicken nuggets and potato wedges, and I think it’s safe to say they were a huge success! They certainly hit the spot and went down a treat with everyone involved. 😋

In fact, they were so good that I’ve even brought the leftovers home to finish off myself! 😳🤣

A massive well done to everyone who took part today. Your effort, teamwork, and enthusiasm are what make these sessions so enjoyable week after week.

🎣 Fishing Group Update – Signs of Improvement! 🌊🐟

Today we had a fantastic turnout for our fishing group, and for once the weather stayed nice throughout the session — which we were all very grateful for! ☀️

Sadly, the good weather didn’t completely transform our luck on the fish front, but we still managed to catch 3 flat fish in total, which is definitely an improvement on recent weeks. Hopefully this is the beginning of the fish returning back into the harbour 🙏🎣

It was also brilliant to welcome back a previous attendee to the group today, and as always he was warmly welcomed back by everyone.

The group stuck the session out right until the end, and the conversations flowed easily all day as they always do. That support, laughter, and company is what makes these sessions so enjoyable week after week. 💙

Let’s hope our luck is finally beginning to turn, with the catch count gradually increasing each week!

Well done today everyone — I’ll see you all again next week. 👏🎣

🍽️ Cooking Group Update 🍽️

Today our cooking group was a little quieter than usual, but that certainly didn’t stop everyone from getting involved and enjoying themselves.

The group all made their own choice of toasted sandwiches today, and they definitely went down a treat! 😋 It was great to see everyone relaxing, having a laugh, and enjoying some good food together.

From next week onwards, we’ll be doing something a little different and picking our meals at random each week 🎉🍴

So, if you haven’t already, please send me your meal suggestions so I can add them into our meal generator. The more ideas we have, the more variety of tasty meals we can enjoy together over the coming weeks!

Our Healthy Cooking Group is back tomorrow at 91 Gladstone Street, and this week we’re doing something a little different with a fun selection of homemade toasted sandwiches!

🥗 Fresh side salad

The best part? Everyone can choose the type of toasted sandwich they would like to make! Whether you fancy something classic, cheesy, meaty, or packed with veggies, there’ll be plenty of options to enjoy while learning how to make quick, healthy, low-cost meals at home.
