I’ve been a bit quieter on here lately… not because I’ve nothing to say.

Quite the opposite.

Life’s been shifting.

Business has been shifting.

I’ve been shifting.

And if I’m honest, I needed a minute to catch up with it all.

In the quiet reflection I’ve come to realise…

I’m not here to play small.
I’m not here to build a business that drains the life out of me.
And I’m definitely not here to watch other people go for it while I sit on the sidelines.

I come across a lot of artists who were trained machine-only.

Don’t get me wrong , machine method IS amazing.

But in my opinion (humble as it may be), advanced artists choose the technique based on the skin and the desired result.

They have a toolbox of different methods so they can deliver the best possible outcome for the individual sitting in front of them.

Manual method can be great for:
• younger skin
• normal to dry skin
• clients wanting a very natural hairstroke look

Because there’s no motor, many artists find:
• they have more control
• strokes feel more deliberate

(Some clients also perceive it as a gentler technique.)
