House of Colour, Fyona Bassett Fyona Bassett - Award winning House of Colour Style Consultant and Colour Coach for Wrexham, Ruthin and Mold Or been overlooked at the head of a queue?

Have you ever had your ideas ignored in a meeting, only to have someone else repeat the same thing 2 minutes later to a round of applause? I can help you change that! We can all sometimes feel invisible at home or overlooked at work. It’s easy to get lost in the many roles we play, or lose confidence in who we are and what we’re really capable of. My job is amazing. I show you how easy it can be t

o become confident in your own skin again; to understand what to wear on the outside to feel visible and ‘on fire’ again on the inside. All that and it’s great fun too – what could be better?

And relax!
Looking forward to some downtime tomorrow with Patsy and the rest of the family. 🐓🐓🐓🐕‍🦺 🐕‍🦺🐈

Like many people, I love my jeans when off duty, and whilst denim will always be a go to, I’m a real faux leather convert.
Easy to wear, comfortable, currently available in colours that work for all seasons and in all the key jeans shapes - they’re more interesting than your average blue jeans and have the added advantage of being wipe clean.

In terms of styling - I need texture in my clothes, so pair my faux leather with suede boots and a cable knit to balance the sheen. If top to toe smooth works well for your clothing personality, you’ll find leather shoes/boots will be perfect. 👌

Happy weekend whatever you’re doing. X

Are you limiting yourself to wearing only the “best” part of your palette?

90% of the colours in the outfit I’m wearing here are in my ‘choir’. If you’ve had a colour session with me, you’ll have heard me use the ‘choir’ analogy before.

Not every voice in a choir needs to carry a solo - some voices blend perfectly with other voices. It doesn’t make them less important - a choir is more than the sum of its individual parts, and a harmony is often more unexpected and impactful than a solo performance I’m sure you get where I’m going here…

Not every colour in your identified palette will be a head to toe wow for you, some will work their magic in combinations.
So, although it’s good to understand those shades and tones that look incredible on you in a single block (your solo artists)-for when you’re deciding on big ticket items like a winter coat, suit, jumpsuit or event dress for example-please don’t be tempted to concentrate solely on these colours when you’re building outfits and neglect the rest of your palette. Make friends with your choir colours too and have some fun putting them together. Because having both in your wardrobe will give you maximum impact and versatility.

Need more help? Why not find the most exciting combinations for your wardrobe through my Advanced Colour sessions. DM me if you’d like more details. X

Hi, it’s been a while! 👋
Although I’ve been away from my socials, everything else in life has been all systems go!
12 months ago today we upped sticks and moved home and my business to the glorious Welsh countryside.
After fixing the leaky roof and weathering the drama of no internet, 3 named storms and a new grand baby, I opened the doors of my new studio to clients in February and life has pretty much been a whirlwind ever since.
Time now to come back to the grid. Watch this space… x
