Capital Compactors & Balers’ 2018 Charity Track Day at Brands Hatch.
Our annual charity fund raising event took place recently to raise awareness and invite voluntary donations for our chosen charity, The Chestnut Tree House Children’s Hospice.
It was a great opportunity to unwind and offer some of our key customers tuition in the two Capital Compactors & Balers’ Clio Cup hot hatches, with an experienced team of drivers, supported by skilled mechanics, and to also enjoy full hospitality. Capital Compactors owners Alistair and Joanne Lindsay with Saxon Motorsport Team worked together to provide the best possible track day experience, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. We would like to thank everyone who came along and helped to make it such a fun day!
Throughout the day our customers were able to experience one of Britain’s best loved driving circuits hands on, by learning skills from the Capital & Saxon teams. They were also offered exhilarating high speed ‘hot laps’ as passengers in a Mark II Golf GTi race car, for those who craved adrenaline by sitting with an experienced driver, which demonstrated the full potential of the race cars around the track. The one on one training gave our guests a once in a lifetime opportunity to drive around a racing track at high speed, whilst learning to keep the car balanced and under complete control.
As well as having a fun day out with some of our valued customers, the idea of the day was also to raise funds for a very worthy cause. Donations from the event were gratefully appreciated as the charity relies heavily on voluntary funding. This amazing home gives terminally ill children the best care and facilities for their end of life treatment, and offers much needed respite for parents and families affected. Any donations are always so very gratefully received. Please do visit https://www.chestnut-tree-house.org.uk/ for more details and to see the amazing work they do.
We look forward to staging further track days in the future and if you are interested in joining us to experience the thrills and spills of a track day first hand, please contact us via [email protected]
