A Belling Range cooker from today's repairs.
The main oven had some damage from the owner using spray-on oven cleaner. The liquid gets behind the screws and rots the holes.
Hot soapy water causes the least amount of damage.

This Range Cooker had the 'Child Lock' switched 'On'. This was stopping the customer from being able to set the time, this prevented the 'main oven' from working.
To switch 'off' the 'child Lock' you hold the '+' button for five seconds.

We got called out to a Indesit double oven. the cooling fan was not shutting off even when the oven had cooled down. The only way to stop the fan was to switch the power supply off.
We repaired the fault with a new 65 degree TOC. Now the cooling fan runs for about 20mins after the oven or grill has been switched off.

The timer unit was obsolete so I suggested bypassing the timer circuit.

Struggled with this 25 year old Tricity Bendix built under double oven.
The top oven and grill worked fine but the main oven was dead.
There was a fault on the clock which I repaired, then the mains terminal block was ready to fail, the fan elements terminals where loose and starting to burn out. The final fault was the safety TOC was burnt out.
I got there in the end, the main oven was working perfectly again.🙂

Bit of a tight squeeze repairing this Electrolux built under double oven. The customer was busy getting ready for a house move.
The main oven was not heating up.

27/09/2020

32 Repairs completed last week, all first appointment repairs.
Fixed 2 ovens over the phone where the timer was set to 'automatic'. If your oven is dead when you turn the k**b make sure it's not just the timer set to 'automatic'.
Sorry but we don't repair GAS faults.
