And thats how we finish our first half term, with a Halloween theme.
Just some of the activities we have been busy with this week...

👻We had a party at Boogie babies and at childminder playgroup this week.
🧪We mixed portions using pipettes, cauldrons and bottles
🫧we printed bubbles on our cauldrons mixing the colours
🕷counted spiders
☠️ we made marks in the playdough
🎃 our book of the week was 5 little pumpkins
🪱 we pretended the pipe cleaners were worms
🚤 we went to Haigh Hall and watched the canal being cleared.

We visited Roby Mill pumpkin patch with some of our friends from childminder playgroup. We got to pick a pumpkin to take home, we had our pack lunch in the barn and got a goodie bag! We did miss our friend who couldn't make the trip because he has been poorly. 🎃

We made vegetable soup for our afternoon snack. It was very tasty. We explored each vegetable using our senses. Some we liked the smell of, some we found smooth, others rough. Some vegetables we found we could cut easier than others using our safety knives. 🥕🧅🥔🥦

For superhero day we dressed up and completed superhero activities

It has been a birthday week here. Starting with my own on Monday, Kobi, our fluffy cockerpoo's on Wednesday and our lovely new friends tomorrow. Wowee a whole one year old. How precious. We celebrated today as my setting is closed on Fridays.

Another busy week filled with curiosity, fun and plenty of giggles. 🥰

This week, we have been continuing to build on our new friendships and settling in, and looking after our environment. From spotting rubbish that "should be in the bin, Carole" on our walks. To recycling and rescuing the ocean animals.

11/09/2026

And my returning friend, who has already this week, took on the important role of helping his new friends settle in. I think I have found my new assistant, sweet boy.

My second new friend is such a delightful character and certainly knows my name. He has transitioned with ease too.

And we are back open for the autumn term. 🙌🏼

This week was my first full week with my gorgeous little friend. Already knowing her family, having that established connection, has made the transition very smooth. I am so looking forward to our little adventures together. 🥰
