A dog, a duck and a slightly rebellious idea. 🐕🦆

A couple of months ago, Gaz and I headed down to Loddington to meet Mark, the owner of the Dog N Duck.

He wanted a traditional English country pub, but with a modern twist.

So we gave him two characters.

The dog represents everything you'd expect from a proper English pub. Warm, welcoming and traditional.

The duck? Well, he's a bit of a rebel.

Two completely different personalities brought together to create something that feels familiar but stands out from the crowd.

Gaz has spent the last few months bringing it all to life, from the original pencil sketches to the finished identity.

And we're heading back down on 6th November to see it all coming together.

Here's a little look behind the scenes at how we created it.

You don't need a Hollywood budget to make great content. You just need a good idea and the confidence to get on with it.

We teamed up with Adam Curtis, who's worked on productions for Apple TV and Netflix, to prove exactly that.

Adam wrote the script, filmed it and edited it, showing just how simple creating a great video can be.

No massive crew. No ridiculous equipment. No overcomplicating things.

Just a bit of creativity and a willingness to give it a go.

The biggest thing stopping most businesses from creating content isn't money. It's overthinking it.

Today, we say goodbye to The Internet.

It gave us memes, cat videos, online shopping, Wikipedia, instant access to almost every piece of information ever recorded… and the ability to Google a headache and convince ourselves we had 48 hours to live.

It connected people across the world, started arguments between complete strangers, ruined our attention spans and somehow made “what time does Tesco shut?” one of humanity’s most important questions.

It gave us YouTube tutorials, questionable Facebook Marketplace listings, 47 open tabs and passwords we’ll never remember.

The Internet achieved so much in its short life.

We wanted the visual identity to reflect exactly that. No unnecessary noise, no overcomplicating things. Just a bold, stripped-back brand that's simple, confident and full of meaning.

I went into my session with Tim feeling like I had lots of different pieces but couldn’t quite see how they fitted together.

I’ve spent the last few years coaching, teaching, writing and speaking, exploring human behaviour, self-trust and personal development, but I was struggling to understand how it all connected or what direction I should take next.

Tim has an incredible ability to listen to everything you’re saying, notice the thread running underneath it and reflect it back in a way that suddenly makes sense.

Tim helped me recognise that I didn’t need to become something new. I didn’t need to add anything extra. I needed to come back to who I already was.

Our conversation helped me reconnect with my identity as a teacher, but in a much broader way than I’d previously understood it. It helped me see that all of these seemingly separate parts of my work weren’t separate at all. There was a thread connecting them that I simply hadn’t been able to see.

I left with greater clarity about my direction and, importantly, what had been getting in the way of me using my voice and being visible.
I’m still exploring exactly what comes next, but I no longer feel like I’m searching for the answer. Tim helped me find the thread that connects everything I’ve been doing.

Sometimes you need someone who can see beyond all the individual pieces and help you recognise the bigger picture that was there all along. Tim did exactly that for me.
