Not every piece of development needs six months, a qualification or a folder full of models.

Sometimes a day or two creates enough space to look at something differently.

This autumn at Oasis, we’re opening up a series of focused development days exploring some of the subjects that can be difficult to talk about at work:

Money as a Mirror
Moving Through Grief & Loss
Working with Burnout
Speak to be Heard

Small groups. Real conversation. Space to think, practise and explore.

Because some of the most useful professional development starts with something very human.

The world of work isn’t getting any simpler. Leaders and managers are navigating uncertainty, change, competing pressures and increasingly complex relationships. And often, there isn’t an obvious answer. That’s where good coaching can make a real difference.

As Glyn Fussell shares here, coaching isn’t about telling someone what to do. It’s about helping people think more clearly, make sense of what they’re facing and find their own way forward.

Our Coaching with Head, Heart & Soul programme starts this October at the Oasis Centre in Yorkshire.

It’s for people who want to develop a thoughtful, relational and whole-person approach to coaching – whether you’re looking to coach professionally or bring stronger coaching skills into your leadership and work with others.

📅 Starts 5 October 2026

What if the challenge you're facing isn't just yours?

Many of the situations we wrestle with at work and in life don't exist in isolation. They're part of wider systems, relationships and patterns that we can't always see from where we're standing.

Our Systemic Constellations Foundation Programme, facilitated by Luea Ritter in partnership with Collective Transitions offers an opportunity to slow down, step back and explore those hidden dynamics in a practical, experiential way.

Whether you work with individuals, teams, organisations or communities, this three-day programme provides a powerful introduction to systemic constellations and the insights they can bring.

"I'm developing as a person."

Halfway through our Coaching with Head, Heart & Soul programme, bursary recipient Adam Ogilvie, CEO of Meanwood Valley Urban Farm reflects on what the journey has meant to him.

What surprised him most?

"Coaching is more than just listening and asking questions."

Through the programme, Adam has discovered the confidence to flex his coaching style, step back from giving advice, and trust others to find their own answers. Alongside developing as a coach, he speaks about the challenge, and value of looking more deeply at himself.

Applications for our Coaching Programme Bursary close on Friday 31st July. Find out more here: https://oasiscoaching.oasishumanrelations.org.uk/bursaries

The bursary, funded by Oasis Foundation, is designed for leaders and managers working in organisations committed to social change who would otherwise be unable to access the programme because of financial constraints.

The next programme begins in October 2026, and we're looking for people who are ready to learn, be challenged, and bring their learning back into their organisations.

If you or someone in your organisation could benefit from this opportunity, we'd love to hear from you.

"Where do I go from here?"

It's a question many of us ask at some point in life.

Perhaps your work no longer feels quite right. A life event has shifted your perspective. You're approaching retirement, considering a career change, or simply sensing that the next chapter is calling.

This two-day Oasis Human Relations programme offers the time and space to pause, reflect and explore what comes next. Together we'll navigate transition, reconnect with what matters most, and consider how to shape a future that feels meaningful and true to you.

Facilitated by Sophie Charrois and Nick Ellerby, the programme isn't about rushing to find answers. It's about creating the conditions for fresh insight to emerge – through thoughtful dialogue, reflection and the wisdom of the group.

Working with complexity can be deeply rewarding. It can also feel lonely.

Many of us who use Systemic Constellations in our work know that the learning doesn't end when the programme finishes. In many ways, that's where the real practice begins.

That's why we're delighted to be launching Practice Circles: Holding Complexity – a facilitated online inquiry and supervision space led by Luea Ritter.

Designed for those with experience of Systemic Constellations or related systemic approaches, these small-group sessions offer an ongoing space to reflect, experiment, deepen your practice, and explore the questions that emerge through real-world work.

Together we'll explore:

• Live practice dilemmas and supervision questions
• Embodied inquiry and systems sensing
• Peer learning and reflective dialogue
• New perspectives for working with complexity, change and uncertainty

Whether you're looking to deepen your systemic practice, reconnect with a community of practitioners, or simply create regular space for reflection, these circles provide a supportive environment to continue learning together.

📅 Six online sessions beginning Wednesday 22 July
🕡 6.30 - 8.00pm (UK)
💻 Online via Zoom

Participants can book individual sessions or the full six-session series.

We're delighted to be continuing our partnership with Collective Transitions and to welcome Luea Ritter back to facilitate this new offering.

New podcast episode now live! AI and Coaching

Artificial intelligence is already changing the way we work, think and learn - but what might it mean for coaching?

In our latest episode, Glyn Fussell is joined by coach and leadership development expert Jane Senior to explore the opportunities, tensions and ethical questions that AI brings to the coaching profession.

Together they discuss:

How AI is already being used in coaching and personal development
Where technology can support reflection and learning
Why human connection remains at the heart of effective coaching
The ethical considerations every coach should be thinking about
Practical ways to begin integrating AI into your coaching practice

Whether you're a coach, leader or simply curious about the future of human development, we hope this conversation offers plenty to reflect on.

What does positive social change look like?

It's a simple question, but perhaps one of the most important - and difficult - questions we can ask.

To celebrate the launch of our new Oasis Social Change website, we've been inviting people across our network to share their reflections on what positive social change means to them, particularly in a world experiencing constant uncertainty, complexity and change.

In this short video, Emma Crawshaw, CEO of Crew: mind altering, shares her perspective.

We'd love you to explore the new website, discover more voices, ideas and resources, and join the conversation.

What happens when you spend a year learning to coach?

Rather than telling you ourselves, we wanted you to hear from the people who have experienced it.

The Coaching with Head, Heart and Soul Programme is an immersive, in-person learning journey based in Yorkshire, bringing together a diverse cohort of people to develop their coaching practice through reflection, challenge, conversation and real-world experience.

Whether you're looking to become a professional coach, bring coaching into your leadership, or develop more meaningful ways of working with others, this programme offers far more than coaching skills.
