"It's all about Character" is the new BLAQ Designs mission statement. ⁠
Along with the website being rebuilt, I am taking the opportunity to also do some deep backend updates. As I grow I want that to be reflected in the business. ⁠

"Its all about Character" is a play on words with the idea of typography and of personal character. Im sure we've all heard the term "Don't mix business with personal." This is a statement that has never sat right with me.⁠
⁠
While there are definitely some personal aspects that should, of course, be kept separate but I have felt that the concept of keeping personal and business separate is used as an excuse for some to treat people in a business setting with little to no respect under the guise of "it's just business."⁠
⁠
BLAQ Designs holds the character of a business and the people in it in the highest regard. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect and dignity. There is no difference in settings in BLAQ Designs. It's all about character.⁠

Have recently begun working on some really awesome music projects and have been having a great time using marrying the more creative aspect of branding into some of these pieces. ⁠

Music and creative design go hand in hand to me and offer almost free-range in when it comes to utilising creative expression. ⁠

"Breathe" inspired Vinyl cover.⁠
This project turned out to be a huge lesson in the benefits of high contrast for me. While the primary colour here is pink, Having such an intense contrast with the blue of the cover and the rest of the piece makes standing out as design far easier.⁠

The simple two-colour contrast also helps improve overall clarity and detail highlights. Think Black and white and the effect that has on readability.⁠
