We have a date for the Bowness PO move to Spar now.

The last day of the Bowness PO at its current location, at St martins Parade, will be 22nd of April.
It should then open at the Spar on Rayrigg road on 23rd of april.

We hope it will have a useful future there and we would like to say
a big 'Thank You' to all our cutomers for their support over the years.

As you may know, for various reasons including health ones, we are in the process of selling the Bowness post office.

As part of the process, the post office is carrying out a public consultation to gather opinion about a possible move to Spa, shop and petrol station, on Rayrigg road.

We have lots of handouts with further information at the post office or you can access the same information and give feed back using the QR code.

As some of you may know we have been cutting cylinder and mortice lock keys since we took over from the previous owner 3.5 yrs ago.

We've decided to extend our range of services by adding car keys. Now there are three types of car keys: Non-transponder keys, basically your classic car. Transponder or non-remote keys, with these you can open the car door manually, and start the car and drive away. Remote keys, these allow you to lock and unlock the car at a distance (central locking).

We will not be offering the facility to use central locking, but we will be offering the other two types.

For the next 4 weeks we will be offering a car key cutting service on Mondays and Wednesday each week

The cost of a key with a programmed transponder will normally be between £40 and £45 pounds. However for the next 4 weeks the first two car key customers on each Monday and Wednesday will only be charged £25 to have the key cut and the transponder programmed.
