Tasha joins us as our new Lead Generation Specialist, bringing five years’ experience in lead generation and sales, alongside six years in customer service.

The Summer Bank Holiday is nearly here! ☀️

Our BMA office will be closed on Monday 31st August, reopening as normal on Tuesday 1st September. Our online auctions will continue to run throughout.

Here’s hoping the British weather gets the memo! 🤞☀️

A fantastic result for our Senior Account Manager, Jay Martell, whose hard work has secured a new three-year agreement between BMA and South-Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust, with the option to extend for a further two years. 🚑

Last week, we welcomed Kathryn Warner, Clinical Equipment/Asset Manager and Clinical Equipment Safety Officer, to BMA for a tour of our facilities. Kathryn met the team and saw first-hand the scale of our operation and the volume of medical equipment we manage.

We are proud to partner with 85% of NHS Ambulance Trusts across the UK, helping them maximise the value of surplus medical equipment and support its safe and sustainable reuse. ♻️

At BMA, sustainability is an ongoing commitment and we’re proud to work with organisations that help us turn that commitment into measurable action.

Through our partnership with Ecologi | B Corp™, we’ve now helped fund 8,145 trees worldwide and supported verified climate projects resulting in 700 tCO₂e of avoided emissions.

Our wider charitable support spans a number of organisations and causes, but our focus on climate action and ESG remains unwavering. We’ll continue looking for practical, transparent ways to reduce our environmental impact and contribute to a more sustainable future.

Our engineers and logistics teams have been hard at work across the UK, safely deinstalling, moving and preparing high-value medical imaging equipment for its next home.

Last week alone we've handled:
✅ GE 450W MRI
✅ Philips iCT CT Scanner
✅ Siemens Artis Cath Lab

And this week has been just as busy:
🔹 2 × GE 750HD CT Scanners
🔹 2 × Philips Gamma Cameras
🔹 1 × Philips MRI System

From complex crane lifts to specialist deinstallations and transportation, our experienced team continues to deliver safe, efficient and professional solutions for healthcare providers and equipment owners.

Europe's biggest radiology auction? Completed. ✅

Last week's specialist Radiology & Ultrasound auction saw over 200 lots go under the hammer, making it the largest dedicated radiology auction taking place anywhere in Europe at the time.

On top of that, we saw over 95% of all lots sold, demonstrating the strength of our global buyer network and the continued demand for quality surplus medical equipment.

For healthcare organisations, that means greater competition, stronger results and more equipment finding a second life around the world.

A huge thank you to every member of Team BMA who made it happen, from sourcing and collections through to cataloguing, marketing, operations and logistics.
