1️⃣ Tailgating through gates 🚗
A closed gate means nothing if a second vehicle can follow the first one in.
✅ Fix: one vehicle in at a time, with each entry checked and logged.
2️⃣ Predictable patrols 🔦
If a patrol runs the same route at the same time every night, anyone watching can plan around it.
✅ Fix: vary routes and timings, and use checkpoints to prove the patrol took place.
3️⃣ Contractors and visitors with no sign-in 📋
If you don’t know who is on site, you can’t tell who shouldn’t be.
✅ Fix: a sign-in process, visitor passes, and a check at the gate that the person is expected.
4️⃣ Blind spots and poor lighting 💡
Dark corners, stacked pallets and overgrown boundaries give people cover.
✅ Fix: walk the site at night and fix what you can’t see.
5️⃣ No record of what happened 📝
An incident that isn’t logged gets repeated.
✅ Fix: written logs and a proper handover between shifts, so patterns are spotted early.
