We’re delighted to share that the Towngate team successfully completed our walk for yesterday (20th May), in memory of our wonderful friend and colleague, Merys Liall.

It was a meaningful day spent raising vital funds for , and we were lucky to enjoy some truly beautiful scenery along the way. There may have been a slight detour when we nearly got lost (!), but we made it to the Old White Bear in Norwood Green right on schedule—for a well-deserved rest, a tasty tea, and a celebratory drink.

A huge well done to the team. It was a challenging route with varied terrain, but everyone powered through and finished strong.

We’ll continue to keep you updated on our fundraising progress. Thank you so much to everyone who has donated so far—your support will make a real difference in the fight against this terrible disease.

Tomorrow afternoon, the 20th May 2026, the Towngate Team will be taking part in a Walk, to raise money for as part of the initiative; - in memory of our wonderful friend and colleague, Merys Liall, who passed away on the 5th July 2024. The planned route will take in areas close to her beloved home of Norwood Green and the beautifully picturesque Shibden Valley. We will post images taken along the way, which we hope you will enjoy.
