Your donations find a new home in a Bradford school.

Amy from Titus Salt School visited today and received some donated and serviced equipment to improve the school's music provision:

LANEY Valvestate 100w guitar combo from Tim Walker
Behringer Eurolive monitors from Bingley Music Town
SONY headphones from Kes Loy
Behringer XM8500 Microphone from Jim DeBarker
YAMAHA PSR 295 Keyboard from Izak and Kaz Gloom
plus XLR cables and instrument cables.

The school, students and teachers are over the moon with all the new equipment.
Thank you for continuing to donate unneeded equipment and instruments, they will make a difference to hundreds of young students in Bradford's schools, grassroots venues and youth music groups.

Which school should we help next?

Job done!
Parts replaced, ingenious repairs made (by Andy Harris), Guitars and Basses strung and set up better than new, Titus Salt School's twenty-four instruments now go back into service and help improve musical education at the school.

Many of these instruments were considered end-of-life so saving them has cut over 300kg of carbon pollution associated with disposal.

I got through thirteen sets of strings on this project plus loads of saddles, screws, nuts etc to finish the guitars and basses so I would be very grateful if Bradford's Bass players would consider letting me have their used strings to use on future school instruments. We would also greatly appreciate any unneeded guitar/bass parts plus used drum heads to refurbish drum kits.

A big shout-out to all the wonderful people who have donated instruments & consumables, those who share our cause, store equipment for us and support SoundCycle with leads on equipment or ways to fund the project.

Par collects Appleton Academy's final repair, their electronic drum kit. That's eighteen items in total repaired and back into classrooms saving as much as 216 kg of CO2 from disposal.
Luckily the school is keen to see their instruments cared for and will train older students in day-to-day maintenance.

Schools, please cancel the skip... call SoundCycle - Sustainability in Music.

Let's do this!
Twenty-four items are now in service from Titus Salt School in Saltaire!
Many of these instruments haven't seen the light of day for years as they broken and went in the cupboard. Our aim is to repair them and replace missing parts then string and set up the guitars and basses so that the school don't need to apply for funding for new ones.
The truth is that instruments from ten years ago were built better than the stuff schools are buying now.

SoundCycle have old-fashioned values. When we grew up and something broke you repaired it or took it to a shop for repair, you never threw it away. We'd like to see those values make a comeback.

Can we get them done for next week? Subscribe so you don't miss the results!
Thank you for spreading the word and for every kind donation.

Andy the technician has fixed all seven of Appleton Academy's classroom keyboards, making a total of eighteen fully working instruments going back into Wyke children's education, with none scrapped!

But there's no rest for the wicked... Titus Salt School are about to deliver twenty-four of their broken instruments!

Please give us a share if your local school are applying for funding to buy replacement instruments.

We refurbish existing equipment and can provide quality instruments and music equipment to schools which were kindly donated by Bradford's wonderful musicians and those who wish to see improved delivery of the arts in our city's schools.

Today I called-in at the 1in12 Club in Bradford to see Arron at his studio and collect his kind donations, including drum hardware, amps, crossovers, a 15" sub, mixer and monitors.

They now go to storage at SAIL in Merchant Quay Shipley, then to Andy for test and servicing before they find a new home.

Thanks for your donations Arron, great to see your excellent studio!

Thank you to Michael Brady for offering to drill-out any donated cymbals with fine cracks, it will save them splitting out and ruining the cymbals so they get a long life in schools!

Today's incredible donations!

Pro-musician and friend Dan Greenhalgh invited me to call-by and gave an electronic drum kit, pedalboard AND a Marshall stack!

BCB Radio host Marcus Rattray came over to mine and brought a full 1970s drum kit in cases!

I quickly loaded everything into the car and headed down to George Pickersgill & Sons Ltd (before my wife saw our living room!) and Hendrik packed them into the SoundCycle storage container before they go to service.

Marcus has invited Andy Harris (Technician) and I to chat on his drivetime show Bradford and Beyond on BCB Radio around 5:30pm this Friday 15th May.
Listen live on BCB 106.6fm or online at www.bcbradio.co.uk
