Charwell Wetlands Charwell Wetlands is Bradninch's own local Nature Reserve, for the benefit of local wildlife and the Want to check the weather in the wetlands?

Charwell Wetlands Nature Reserve was set up in 1997 when the Charwell Meadow housing estate was built. It has been managed by volunteers since then, for the benefit of wildlife and the community. We are always looking for new volunteers so please contact us if you can spare a few hours every so often. Introducing the (unofficial) wetlands weather obs! DUCKLINGS !!! - DOGS ON LEADS NOW - SPREAD THE WORD PLEASE - A few days ago, we picked up this behaviour on video - a male mallard guarding a female so she can feed full-time without risk of predation - and he does not feed at all. This behaviour is from birds that are nesting or are close to having young - they now have so please be responsible.
