Reporting back from a great day at Riding club arena eventing champs!!! it was epic to come home with a proper hoard of sashes and prizes and a very happy Gilbs 🥳
We haven't exactly been drilling the cross country having not seen a XC jump since last October, but of course Gilbs flew around with no trouble. The 90 felt smooth as, and we just tipped the joker at the end whilst accruing some speedy penalties... I can only say that Gilbs and I read the Riding Club's sign going in saying "Have fun" so we obeyed orders which required some slight zoomies in our case 😘 we still contributed to a team 2nd and won some lovely goodies out of 22 teams. Thank you Top Spec
We then managed one of the few double clears including the joker in the 100, despite a couple of interesting jumps which might have been from us trying to go a bit slower... Who knows... But still managed to contribute to a team win and individual 5th which was like a cherry on top today
Other noted events included the discovery of a very nice stand selling a combination of great coffee and Sicilian lemon slushies. Praise be for great food stalls at a show!
