Advertising on Find the Needle should be straightforward — and over time it became clear we needed to make the journey simpler and the options easier to understand.

That’s why Find the Needle has made a series of improvements to help UK B2B companies quickly see:
✅ what advertising options are available
✅ what’s included in each package
✅ how to choose the right level of support
✅ how to get the most value from a listing

The aim is simple: remove friction, improve clarity, and make it easier for businesses to increase visibility, strengthen credibility and generate enquiries from buyers already researching suppliers.

If you’ve ever wondered what the difference is between a free listing and an advertised listing — or you just want a clearer view of how we can help promote your business — the new pages lay it all out in plain English.

Longer days are a good reminder that homes feel better with more natural light, fresh air and a stronger connection to the garden. 🌿☀️

Conserv-A-Tech has shared a new article on how bi-fold doors can transform a space this spring — folding neatly away to open up an entire wall and create a brighter, more flexible layout for everyday living and entertaining.

What the guide highlights:
✅ A choice of uPVC or aluminium to suit different styles and budgets
✅ Finish options including RAL colours and woodgrain effects
✅ Suitable for internal or external use (kitchen-to-garden, living space to conservatory, or as a room divider)
✅ Performance features designed for year-round comfort, including quality glazing and efficient profiles
✅ Added reassurance with weather protection and security features like multi-point locking and anti-lift mechanisms
✅ Flexible configurations, including inward/outward opening and “curtain effect” layouts

For homeowners in Stevenage and across Hertfordshire, it’s a useful read if you’re planning a project that adds light, space and a cleaner flow between inside and out.

Health and safety doesn’t stop at the workshop door. For many organisations, a big day-to-day risk sits in the yard, depot or on site: vehicles being moved by unqualified or unauthorised drivers.

To help reduce that risk, Colter Products Ltd has developed a new fleet accessory that connects to a vehicle tracker and adds a simple, effective layer of driver identification and control: the FSC-1266 Immobiliser.

What it does (in plain terms): it helps ensure the right people can start the vehicle — and everyone else can’t.

How it works:
✅ Telematics-controlled ignition — the unit listens for a signal from the vehicle’s telematics system to permit (or prevent) engine start
✅ Dallas key override — authorised access when needed, with a simple “tap to start” action
✅ One key, multiple vehicles — keys can be programmed across multiple readers to scale control without admin headaches

For fleets and sites where vehicle access needs tighter management, this approach supports stronger H&S processes, improved security and clearer accountability — helping prevent incidents that lead to damage, downtime, claims and injury.

Compressors are essential on site — but they can also be one of the most persistent sources of workplace noise, especially when sound reflects off hard floors, walls and ceilings. 🔊🏭

Billington Safety Systems Ltd has shared a practical guide on how acoustic enclosures reduce compressor noise at source, and what makes an enclosure genuinely effective (not just a “box around a machine”).

Key points covered include:
✅ Why source control works best — contain noise before it radiates across a plant room or production area
✅ How enclosures reduce noise — sound blocking + internal absorption, with attention to the weak points where noise escapes
✅ Detailing matters — doors, seals, joints, penetrations and ventilation openings need proper design because sound finds the easiest route out
✅ Ventilation and heat management — airflow must be engineered in from day one to avoid overheating, downtime and poor performance (using acoustic louvres, attenuated vents or ducted routes where needed)
✅ Access, inspection and safety — maintenance access should be straightforward, with sensible doors/panels and clear visibility of emergency stops, labels and isolation points
✅ Fit within the workspace — the enclosure has to work around pipework, cable routes, walkways and maintenance routes, while still looking neat and robust

The takeaway: the best results come from designing the enclosure around the actual compressor, the space it sits in, and how the equipment is used day to day.
