Do you fancy learning a new skill?

At Flynn House, our meeting rooms can be booked out for team meetings, days away from the office, and even BSL sign language classes!

From the 5th March 2025 - 9th April 2025, Flynn House is delighted to be hosting the 6- week BSL Sign Language classes which will be led by Lorri Wilson.

The course is £65 for the 6 weeks, and is an incredible opportunity for you to learn something new.

Welcome to Flynn House: In Focus!

On the first floor of Flynn House, we have the Roundway Centre. With a personal connection to Flynn House, we want to introduce them to you!
Led by Dr Catherine Aldred, the team at Roundway provide personalised social communication, learning and language assessments, diagnosis, reports, intervention and education support plans for children and young people from 2-25.

All of their therapists are experts in their field, bringing a wide range of expertise together. They provide individual or joint social communication and giving young people a voice is at the centre of their ethos. Roundway supports children, adolescents and young adults in identifying their pathways through education and social relationships and preserving their well-being.

Each assessment builds on the unique individual profile, valuing their individual interests, skills and aspirations. They do more than assess and advise; Roundway strive for better understanding and responsive support that brings meaningful change for young people to feel accepted and supported by adults who sensitively accommodate their individuality and needs. Roundway provide evidence- based interventions, including PACT, social communication and language intervention and specially adapted counselling.

📆 On Monday 11th November 2024, Flynn House hosted a local Vision Group meeting!
 
The Vision Group meets to discuss the various issues and events going on in Bramhall with a view to fostering community relations and improving levels of engagement between local businesses and their immediate environments.
 
💼 The meeting was chaired by Darren Flannery (Stockport Council) and was attended by various councillors and other local decision makers.
 
🎄Topics discussed within the meeting included the upcoming ‘Light Up Bramhall’ on the 1st of December 2024. The event is organised by the Bramhall Together Trust. Les Dennis and Jason Manford, alongside Strawberry Radio are rumoured to be in attendance, and many local businesses will be getting involved in the Christmas festivities.
 
🏠 Flynn House have agreed on-going that in addition to the existing Charity Room which is now permanently supporting the Roundway Centre who provide varying levels of support to families and young people with different needs and requirements, our meeting space will also be allocated to support Vision Group and any local charity that needs support or a safe space for their operations.

🩷HAPPY 1st October !🩷

This month at Flynn House, we’ve gone pink! In addition to our decorations provided by , the incredible has created us some incredible balloons around our offices !

Why has Flynn House gone pink?

October is Breast cancer awareness month, so from the 1st to the 31st October we will be joining in on the annual international health campaign, aiming to raise awareness for Breast Cancer.

Breast cancer is the most common type of Cancer in women in the UK. Anyone can get Breast Cancer, and it is important to be regularly checking your breasts for signs of the disease.
