This is what we were up to on Sunday - me with the cycling and Mr F4 tracking 163 cyclists all day. Great team effort once again!
I can 100% recommend this event which I have been cycling for 12 years, and with which F4/Racetek have been involved for the last 5 or 6. Roll on next year!

Well, certainly lived up to its name on Sunday, all gruelling 92miles/10,300ft of it!
More than 9hrs in the saddle, many of them in the rain, is maybe why only 8 of us girls completed this year’s Long Course….. But as always, the views were amazing, even in the bad weather, I was taken to places in Eryri I didn’t even know existed (how did they find those cunning, lonely, surprising little back lanes leading from one mountainous area to the next?!), the food stops were great, the support and encouragement of all the organising team was second to none and the atmosphere all day was one of friendliness and fun!

If any of you MTBing fans out there have been contemplating doing the Traws Eryri MTB route over the mountains from from Machynlleth to Conwy, GO & DO IT! I got back on Sunday evening from the most fantastic 2+1/2 days with 3 like-minded biking buddies. At c115 miles/11,500 ft, it was challenging, it was tough, but my goodness, worth every minute of effort, & the fact that I was cycling back home the whole while made it even more special. There are steep climbs, technical sections, fast rolling descents, some flat bits (!), amazing views, reasnonably priced accomm in appropriate places, & fantastic pit-stops selling hot/cold drinks, cakes & proper food where you would least expect them. Probs easiest on a lightweight hardtail, but a gravel bike (& good cycling technique) works too. Worth rationalising kit so you travel light. I've been to parts of Eryri I didnt even know existed & we had an absolute blast. Another item on my bucket list ticked off......
Mr FAB4 was at the NGOC Score & then Sprint Realay events - a v relaxed w/e in comparison!!
