It sometimes seems that people are very quick to criticise or point out faults and less quick to compliment or praise. And...to a certain extent, you have to accept that when you make things to sell. So, it was an absolute delight to receive the following message from someone who recently ordered a trellis from me:

Hi Bryony,

My trellis arrived today and it is GORGEOUS! Thank you very much for making this for me. I absolutely love it, especially the colors and the beautiful, detailed flowers. It was so much fun to unwrap the layers of packaging, too, my anticipation building with each unraveling : ) I can't wait to leave a 5-star review with a photo, but some pictures for you are attached. I will take one later tonight with it backlit, as I have a garden light right near it. Thank you again!! Diane

I don't know if Diane realised how much her words meant! Maybe we should all take a leaf out of Diane's book and say thank you or praise at least one person today?

Trying something new again…frit lace! It reminded me of a grassy meadow so added a few flowers and insect life…🦋🐞🐝🐛! What do you think?

I love the way the lace turns out and now I think I’ll try some different colours!

I’ve been reading a lot about butterfly vases (vases or candleholders which mimic the colours of butterfly wings) so I thought I’d try my hand at some. After all, butterflies symbolise new beginnings so it seemed a fitting project for New Year’s Eve.

I still want to work on perfecting the technique but what do you think of my first two? 🦋

Delighted to support St Richard's Hospice tomorrow evening - this lantern is being auctioned off to support my daughter’s marathon efforts and is decorated in their flower, the Snowdrop.

These two trellises were part of an order for someone who then changed their mind 🤦‍♀️. They have been hanging about in my studio like unwanted guests at a party! If you think one of them could find a home in your garden, do get in touch. I shall be listing them shortly in my Etsy store.

It’s been a busy time in the studio recently, filling orders…the welcome sunshine seems to have brought with it a spate of orders for trellises! These three will be off to their new homes tomorrow, in places as disparate as Florida and Barrow-in-Furness! It was also fun to turn my mind to this suncatcher which is also off to its home in Florida! Fingers crossed 🤞 for gentle postmen as they start their journeys!
