May the 4th 2020...a date I will never forget...

A year ago today we returned to our factory. 👋🏻

I had only just started recording my weekly vlogs and the world seemed a very sad and scary place to be. 😨

Now, a year on, I can feel the positivity, energy and, dare I say it, excitement at the prospect of a more normal life returning.🤩

Whoever you are and however this year has impacted you, I would like to say, as I have before, that my door is always open for a chat, we can never know how our words can touch someone else.

Keep on trucking people, we got this! 💜

I am still amazed when I see this photo of these hand-made sinks, made for STORTFORD INTERIORS (UK) LIMITED a few years ago.

Sleek, clean and contemporary, I absolutely love how they gleam and give that washroom that extra something special.✨

Our factory in Essex. 💜

An Aladdin’s cave with so many memories.

My parents bought our factory 32 years ago (give or take 🤷🏻‍♀️) when I was just a mere slip of a girl, transforming a disused recording studio into a wondrous place that’s made many things 😳

Since this time it’s been used to produce a wide array of items and is now the hub of our fabricating activities.

As a Solid Surface expert we’ve got all the toys in our box to ensure we can manufacture the specialist items we are known for:

✅ A Striebig wall saw
✅ Festool sanders
✅ A thermo-form platten oven
✅ C axis CNC
✅ 50 tonne water cooled press

I feel excited and privileged to be entrusted with taking BSF forward, together with my brother Paul.

So here we are again, in another phase of “New Normal” where we live in a tier system.

Shell shocked is how I felt when London and Essex were elevated to tier 2. 😳

It’s another huge blow and step backwards.

Probably inevitable but still difficult to take.

I know we are behind a lot of the country, in Essex, in being elevated, but even so, it is a sad day for us as people and our economy which is being decimated by this pandemic.

I’m an eternal optimist and want to see the good in everything and the potential to rise, so today I’d like to extend the hand of friendship to those struggling. 🤝

We can do this!

Together we are stronger!
