“It's only a shipping container. I won't need planning permission… will I?” 👀

It's one of those questions that's worth asking BEFORE the container arrives.

The answer depends on a few things, including where you're putting it, how long it's staying and what you're planning to use it for.

A container for temporary storage and a container being converted into a permanent business premises can have very different planning considerations.

And being able to move a container doesn't automatically mean it's exempt from planning rules.

Our advice? Check with your local planning authority before making any commitments.

The right size depends on what you’re storing, how often you’ll be in and out, and how much room you’ve actually got for the container itself.

We had a customer who needed to make two visits to collect their container...plans changed, things happen. Could've been one of those situations that gets awkward.
