💻 When working with businesses and guiding them towards growth, continuous improvement is always encouraged to stay ahead of the competition (or not fall behind). When mentoring individuals or small teams, I am always inspired by the enthusiasm for personal development and the desire to progress.

So, call it a mid-life crisis (lost count of how many 🤣), I thought I had better jump on the 'learning bus' and get some studies done - exactly 20 years after studying for a MBA.

Mad, busy, too old? Never too mad, busy or old. At least that's what I'm saying now as this week, the BA LLB degree in Law commences with the The Open University.

Ask me the same question again a few months in, and I may have a different answer!

One of the inspirational things experienced with our work at OFST Business Consultancy Services is the amount of ambition and drive that exists out there in the commercial world.

Even in times of significant geopolitical and economic activity, there are so many budding entrepreneurs out there, looking to turn ideas into robust business propositions. Another great meeting with IFI LTD this morning and sessions with others already lined up for later in the week. We have covered sectors across the economy of late - from engineering, food, property, media, to beauty providing support on:

Holidays are always a perfect opportunity to reflect, reset and identify ways to continuously improve the support provided to small / medium businesses.

Having spent more than 30 years in multinational organisations, the term ‘fractional’ was rarely used. Commercial and marketing teams were robust, and strategies clear. Leadership was strong.

Conversely, small businesses cannot always afford those six figure salaries and five figure bonuses payable to the best commercial directors. This has become increasingly apparent with demand increasing for access to experienced commercial leadership when business needs it, without adding to the payroll or FTE compliment.

An increasing feature of our scope, this is helping those businesses:
