June was a brilliant month for Love Wellington, a community initiative proudly set up and supported by the team at Good2Great.

​When local people, volunteers, and businesses come together, it's proof that amazing things can happen. ​Thanks to events driven and supported by Love Wellington, over £9,800 was raised for vital local charities in a single month. 👏

​£2,500 raised for Community Resource via the Wellington Open Gardens event.
​£7,300 raised for the Lingen Davies Cancer Support Sunflower Fund via the Sunflower Walk (with special thanks also to The Shifnal Rambler Günther Bedson).

​Our founder of Love Wellington, Sally Themans was honoured to celebrate these achievements at a recent thank-you event with the Mayor of Telford & Wrekin, Councillor Nathalie Page, and Dr. Gill Eatough.

​None of this would be possible without the continued partnership of Wellington Town Council, Shropshire. We are proud to play a part in giving people a reason to 💚

Great to see Lisa Holt of Farewell Flowers and Beth Evans of Pheasant Field Flowers, who have recently been featured in Shropshire Star and Shropshire Live, celebrating the growth of their floral businesses.

It’s especially fantastic to see their journeys continue to blossom, as both Lisa and Beth completed start-up programmes with us at Good2Great and are now celebrating five years of building and growing their businesses.

From developing their ideas into successful ventures to creating beautiful floral designs and championing British-grown flowers, their passion, creativity and determination have been inspiring to see.

We’re proud to have supported them at the beginning of their business journeys and love seeing local entrepreneurs thrive and achieve their goals. A huge congratulations to you both on this brilliant milestone — here’s to many more years of success!

Well done to the amazing Beth Heath and her fab team at Shropshire Festivals for another great Shropshire Business Festival yesterday at the International Centre in Telford.

So good to connect with so many friends - old and new - in the business community.

All rounded off with a brilliant evening of chat compared by Carl Jones and celebrating 10 years of Shropshire Business - magazine and website and all things wonderful about our county.

Still feeling warm and fuzzy… what place to live and work . How lucky we are .

We’ve been proud to support the magistracy for many years with one of our staff members being a sitting JP in Shropshire. Being a magistrate is a brilliant thing to do and supports our rich and diverse society whilst giving fascinating and crucial experience and life skills to those involved.
Would recommend anyone, from all walks of life, apply.

Along with 8 other fabulous independent bookshops in the Midlands, That Little Bookshop has been selected as a Regional Finalist for Independent Bookshop of the Year 2026.

Wow, I am speechless, thank you to you all for your support in making our dream a reality, what an incredible way to celebrate 6 months since opening. I might be on cloud 9 all day today....

Congratulations and good luck to other the other regional finalists. You are all amazing!

We’ve just wrapped up another workshop supporting local business owners on their start-up journey. It was amazing to see so many new entrepreneurs ready to take their businesses to the next level.

Over the last two days, we’ve covered everything from solidifying business plans to finding those first crucial customers. The energy in the room was great, and it’s clear that the future of business in Dudley is bright.

Turning Passion into a Local Business

Harriet Lawrence turned her lifelong passion for dogs into Hatz Off Dog Training, a personalised service supporting dogs and owners across South Staffordshire. Her approach focuses on understanding behaviour, building confidence and creating long term change at home.

By joining the Start Up South Staffordshire programme, Harriet strengthened the business side of her work and built the foundations to grow with confidence.
