Would you like to know more about Dementia? Perhaps someone in your family has dementia or maybe you care for someone with dementia.
My name is Hannah and I am a volunteer with the Alzheimer's Society but I am also an experienced health care professional and trainer within the health and social care industry. I am incredibly passionate about helping people to understand the condition, dementia, but also to help promote the fact that those living with dementia can live well and live fulfilling lives.
I am going to run some informal, relaxed information sessions to help people to learn about dementia as part of raising awareness for Dementia Action Week. I will help you to understand dementia in a way that anyone can understand it, I will help you to be able to recognise the signs and symptoms of dementia and how each and every one of us can help support those living with dementia by becoming a dementia friend and helping me stamp out the societal stigma that is so often attached to the condition.
These sessions will be running:
- Tues 14th May 10.00am-12.00 noon
- Tues 14th May 2.00pm-4.00pm
- Sat 18th May 10.00am-12.00 noon
As well as this vital information sharing opportunity, I will also be providing cake, biscuits and refreshments. I will provide a safe space for all those attending and I will be on hand to listen to your own stories and to answer any questions you may have about dementia.
This event is £20.00 but all proceeds of this event will be donated to the Alzheimer's Society. To book, follow the link below:
