Spencer's was first established 150 years ago under the banner of F Purdon and Sons, latterly as Broader and Spencer before reaching its current business title of Spencer's Auction Rooms. John Cook who was employed by Broader and Spencer and mentored by Mr Reginald Spencer for over 30 years is now the proprietor of Spencer Auctions Rooms and boasts a 40 year career in the management of fine art and Chattels. Spencer's Auctions Rooms has a well respected reputation in the Yorkshire area and especially Bridlington and Surrounding districts. Spencer's Auctions is one of the few salerooms in the country to hold weekly sales of household goods and regularly auction over 700 lots weekly. Spencer's is and always has been a family run business. We specialise in the house clearance market and welcome probate valuations or single item valuation. We welcome telephone and in person inquiries at our on site office, at the address stated on this page. We hold quarterly sales of antiques and fine art which are stored fully ensured on the premises. There is some parking on site and there are also two ERYC car parks on either side of the premises within a short walking distance. We have a comprehensive mailing list of people throughout the country who wish to purchase certain goods and antiquities, so your goods are reaching a far and wide audience. Office opening times are Monday to Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm (closed for lunch 12-1 answering machine service in operation)
Viewing day times are every Wednesday 8.30am - 4.00pm
Morning of sale/auction takes place every Thursday commencing at 9.30am prompt
