A nice feather in my cap for an English to Dutch marketing translation which required some "fine-tuning" from English Christmas Carol to Dutch/Flemish Santa Clause song! Email from the client:

"Many thanks for getting creative with the translation! My husband is Belgian which makes my daughter half Belgian and that means we have this and other Sinterklaas children’s songs playing in the house around this time of the year, and she does make sure to put out her shoe on the 5th! I think it’s a brilliant transcreation idea to refer to this song instead, and the way you have re-phrased the 2nd part of the sentence to keep the meaning but make it fit with the melody is really great! We really appreciate the time and effort you took to create something that’s locally relevant. Dank u wel! 😊"
