Four w**es, two unexpected cocktails and conversations that found their own way.

A little glimpse of last night’s BLWC gathering at The Plotting Parlour. Thank you to everyone who joined us, to Faye for sharing her cocktail creations, and to Rosie and Henry for looking after us so well.

Let’s keep talking 🍷

Did you know?

People tend to open up more when they’re in a space that feels informal and comfortable. It’s why the most breakthrough conversations rarely happen in a boardroom or a stiff conference hall - they happen over a shared glass in a relaxed setting.

That’s exactly why our virtual BLWC evenings are so effective. With a curated tasting box delivered to your door and the comfort of your own home, the conversation unfolds naturally, stripping away the usual pressure of "networking."

On 14 May, we’re bringing that atmosphere to your screen for our next Sip & Connect virtual tasting. It’s welcoming, insightful, and designed for genuine connection, no matter where you are based. 🍷

What a spectacular evening at Tottington Manor. The fine dining at Terra was the perfect match for our selection of fine w**e, setting the stage for even finer conversations among our guests. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who traded the boardroom for the South Downs; the slow connections made over a shared glass are always the most meaningful.

🍷 Great pairings aren’t about matching - they’re about balance.
The right w**e can lift a dish, soften it, or bring it into focus. When it works, something new is created - something more memorable than either on its own.

That’s exactly what we’ll be exploring at our next BLWC evening on 29 April. Set at Terra Restaurant at Tottington Manor, with its South Downs views and locally sourced, seasonal dishes, this is a setting designed for elevated food and w**e experiences.

An evening where the plate and the glass work together - and where conversation follows naturally.

Ever wondered why Penfolds Bin 389 is affectionately known as the 'Baby Grange'? 🍷✨

There is a fascinating bit of heritage behind one of the most iconic reds we’ll be pouring on 29 April. The 'Baby Grange' nickname comes from the fact that the w**e is matured in the very same seasoned oak barrels that held the previous vintage of Penfolds’ flagship w**e, Grange.

Much like the leaders in our club, Bin 389 carries a legacy of excellence and "matures" through the company it keeps. It inherits its complexity, depth, and character from the prestige that came before it.

It is a w**e that perfectly mirrors the spirit of the Business Leaders W**e Club: a blend of heritage, shared excellence, and the quiet beauty of our Sussex countryside setting.

Join us at Tottington Manor to experience this legendary pour for yourself.
