This week we are undertaking a server hardware upgrade project for one of our clients. We are replacing 2 old HP servers with 1x Dell server with SSD hard disks & running VMWare so that we can virtualise the old physical Windowes servers & introduce a couple of Windows Server 2016

Yesterday we worked with a client who had a number of Mac’s in the office of various different ages all with different OS X & different versions of Office & was having trouble with connectivety. We upgraded them all to the same version of OS X, removed the old office 2008/11 versions. Installed Office 365 applications & setup one drive for file access in or out of the office. Needless to say they are very happy with the results!

We are busy upgrading our Windows 10 laptops to the new 1809 feature release this afternoon to see what all of the hype is about. The new clipboard feature is nice as it allows you to keep multiple clips and then choose which one you would like to paste! So far, so good!

We now have an in-house WIndows Deployment Server (WDS) which will speed up the process of provisioning new Windows computers. All we have to do now is hook up a computer, tap a key when we switch it on & select what software we want installed. About half an hour later its complete & ready to deliver to our customer! Saves us time, saves our customers money! Win/win!

Today we are beginning an email migration for one of our larger clients. We will help them move away from a restrictive platform to using migwiz. The tool connects to both the old and new mailboxes and sucks all of the email, contacts, calendars & notes across to gets the mailboxes in sync. It will then keep everything in sync until we cut them over on Sunday night.
