Stellar Up-Lift A group of engineering students, from the University of Brighton, are joining the space elevator community, to transform a vision into reality.

The idea of a space elevator is to greatly reduce the environmental impact of space travel, compared to that of a rocket launch. Other benefits also include the reduced the cost of space travel and putting less strain on the astronauts. The space elevator challenge could make personal space travel a reality for everyone.
