Be reminded that the rights of data subjects under GDPR are not absolute and can therefore be revoked in certain circumstances.
For example, data subjects have the right to access their personal data file, although not if that access adversely affects the rights and freedoms of other individuals. Another is the right to restrict data processing which doesn’t apply when data is processed for the purpose of prevention, investigation, detection or prosecution of criminal offences.
