Exciting news 🔥 We’re delighted to welcome our new Community Engagement Executive to the team.

This summer, we’re joined by a brilliant new voice who will help us share our mission further and wider than ever before.

During internship, they’ll be connecting us with the organisations, journalists, podcast hosts and industry leaders who need to hear what we stand for and making sure the world knows what Edge Of Difference is all about.

From growing our social media presence and building community, to researching new business opportunities and representing us at industry events, they bring fresh energy, sharp thinking and a passion for inclusive leadership to everything they do.

We couldn’t be more excited to have them on board.

How often do leaders know they’re the reason someone left?

• Almost never
• Sometimes
• More than we think
• They usually know

What has been your reason for leaving, and was this due to leadership? Drop your story in the comments below! 👇

The best talent doesn’t quit companies.

They quit leaders.

And the leader they’re leaving? They probably don’t even know it’s them.

has seen five patterns show up again and again in the organisations we work with. Five ways leaders lose the people they most need to keep, usually without realising it.

Swipe to see if you recognise any of them. In your organisation. In a leader you’ve worked for. Or, if you’re brave enough to be honest, in yourself.

Because the leaders who will attract and retain the next generation of exceptional talent aren’t the ones who talk the most about inclusion.

They’re the ones quietly doing the work.

Which one landed for you? Drop it in the comments ✍🏽

This week’s “From The Edges” headlines paint a picture that no leader committed to inclusion can afford to ignore. 🎨

Beneath each of these stories is the same uncomfortable truth: good intentions are not translating into good outcomes.

Laws exist. Guidance exists. Commitments have been made.

And yet the gap between policy and lived experience remains vast and in some areas, is widening.

Behind every headline this week is a person. And your organisation is accountable to centring your people intentionally.

Leaders, the question is no longer whether this is happening. It is whether it is happening in your organisation, and what you are prepared to do about it.

There is a moment, usually early in our work with an organisation, when we ask the leadership team a simple question.

“When did you last ask your employees what inclusion actually feels like here?”

The pause that follows is often more revealing than anything else in the room.

The questions are designed to do three things: open up honest reflection, surface systemic patterns, and create the foundation for meaningful action.

This week’s “From The Edges” unveiled six reasons why inclusion work has never mattered more.

And yet.

One story reminds us to hold onto hope. Progress is still being made, but never automatically, and never without someone, somewhere, holding the door open.

That is exactly what is at stake right now. Not just policies. 📜

Not just programmes. But whether leaders choose to see people...or look away.
