Today is International Security Officer Day.

It’s an opportunity to recognise the people who represent AV Group every day.

Over the last 12 months, our business has grown significantly. That growth hasn’t happened by chance. It’s been built by officers who turn up on time, act professionally, make good decisions and take pride in the standard they deliver on every shift.

Today we’d also like to recognise Archie’s Journey.

Archie joined AV Group as a Door Supervisor. He progressed to Head of Operations and today serves as one of our Directors alongside our founder.

His progression reflects what we value as a business. Hard work, consistency, professionalism and leading from the front.

Big news. AV Group is heading to Trowbridge.

We’re proud to announce our newest partnership with wearethebirdhouse an exciting new independent live music venue opening its doors tomorrow in the heart of the town. Set inside the former Sir Isaac Pitman building, The Birdhouse is bringing live bands, entertainment, karaoke and a fresh venue experience back to Trowbridge’s nightlife.

Congratulations to Claire, Chloe and Sam on making this vision a reality. It’s been a pleasure working with you ahead of opening, and we’re looking forward to supporting you from day one.

Heading out this weekend? Here’s what the UK threat level being raised to SEVERE means for your night out.

The Joint Terrorism Analysis Centre has increased the level following a recent incident in Golders Green, alongside a wider rise in threats across the UK from individuals and small groups. This means an attack is considered highly likely, so venues are stepping up security.

Expect more thorough searches, a stronger security presence, and small delays getting in. You may also see additional protective equipment and tighter controls on what can be brought inside.
