Heading out this weekend? Here’s what the UK threat level being raised to SEVERE means for your night out.

The Joint Terrorism Analysis Centre has increased the level following a recent incident in Golders Green, alongside a wider rise in threats across the UK from individuals and small groups. This means an attack is considered highly likely, so venues are stepping up security.

Expect more thorough searches, a stronger security presence, and small delays getting in. You may also see additional protective equipment and tighter controls on what can be brought inside.
