It can be hard to get excited about insulation; however, with plastic materials and mineral fibres covering 90% of the insulation market - we can get excited about plastic free alternatives, such as this popcorn based insulation from Göttingen University 🍿

Made from plants, it is a low carbon plastic free alternative to standard insulation products. While we’re unlikely to see it stock by suppliers anytime soon, we can expect to see more innovative products reducing and in the coming years.

⬆️ Moving on up ⬆️ Great to see £550m of support for public sector released by the government today. Public buildings are some of the largest emitters of carbon emissions across the UK’s building stock. The funding released will support power systems and improvements.
