Hand painted in enamel in the famille jaune palette with dragons and clouds on a yellow ground. There is a gold painted band around the edge of the bowl and a gold painted central point

An Officers naval dress sword of the late Rear Admiral Godfrey Place VC. Scabbard and wax cover, 60cm

Presented on passing out from Britannia Royal Naval College as a member of Hood term 1938. VC awarded for midget submarine attack on German battleship Tirpitz in 1943. By family decent.

His Victoria Cross can be viewed at The Imperial War Museum.
