John’s adventures in Cheshire continues yesterday with a trip to Port Sunlight* to meet

The village was built in 1888 for workers at Lever Brothers’ local soap factory and includes 900 listed buildings.
It was also used as a regular filming location for Peaky Blinders.

*Sunlight is not guaranteed, however.

Congratulations to Marianne Barraclough on her new venture as

Executive Director at More Music from July. Also, a huge congratulations for her 19 years at Sinfonia Viva as Deputy Chief Executive where she has been pivotal in creating wonderful partnerships, projects and performances across the East Midlands and beyond with communities. Her work has meant that the wonderful orchestral work of Sinfonia Viva has reached many, many people for them to enjoy and benefit from.

We hope our paths cross again; John Holmes, Miri Birch and the rest of the Flying Geese team have really enjoyed working with her.
