Did you know breast screening doesn't stop at 71? 💗

NHS screening invitations come every three years until a woman's 71st birthday, and then the letters stop. Many people assume that means screening stops too. It doesn't. Women aged 71 and over can still have free screening every three years by calling their local breast screening service.

And at any age, if you notice a change, you should contact your GP straight away.

This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, pass this on to your mum, nan or aunt.

We recently celebrated a very special milestone together with Kristy, last week it was her 10 years anniversary with Abney & Baker!

A decade ago, Kristy joined us as a carer, bringing warmth, dedication, and a genuine passion for making a difference in people's lives. Over the years, that passion never went unnoticed. She grew into a Support Manager, guiding and building her team with the same care she gave to clients. Today, she proudly leads as Registered Manager of her own branch. A journey from carer to leader, built entirely on hard work, heart, and an unwavering commitment to quality care.

Last weekend we had the honour of joining the Melksham River and Food Festival and what a lovely day it was.

A chance to step beyond our daily work: supporting a good cause, making new connections, and having a proper bit of fun along the way. 🥰

We loved seeing so many of you enjoy the activities we'd prepared ,the smiles made every bit of prep worth it. Our team spirit was well and truly shining.
