But do not SERVE PEOPLE...

And honey, the more people you serve, the more money you make!

Don't be in this for the applause...

Commit to making money for you and yours...

Because it simply means that someone is getting served...

Not just stroking your ego!

A good ego-stroke now and then ain't bad...

But your whole life cannot be about that, leader!

Forget about pleasing people...

SERVE THEM!

Say the stuff that no one else is saying...

So, I am just like you...

I want to know exactly how things will work...

I want to know that every single effort I put in, towards the quest for my big goals will result in all the riches and the impact that I know I am born for.

And so, instead of just going with my gut, I go look see what everyone else is doing...

I look for the strategy, the definite pathway that someone else seemed to follow and I seek to do exactly the same thing except that it never feels all that good and it seems to take me away from my own path and frankly, I just cannot stick to it for any length of time.

THERE IS A QUIET SENSE THAT THIS IS NOT MY PATHWAY.

And so then I make no money, have no impact and I have just wasted an unnecessary amount of irreplaceable time in thinking my way to a path that is not mine to take.

I know there is no 'paint by numbers' path for leaders like me and yet, I spend all that time looking...

And you do it too.

You stop trusting that the calling within you will lead you onto the correct path for you...

You get an inkling of an idea in your gut that you need to learn a certain marketing strategy for the next step in your evolution but then, instead of just learning that strategy and then applying it, you get caught up in comparing yourself to other people and trying to learn everything out there THAT YOU DO NOT NEED!

And it takes you off your path...

You make no money...

No one gets served...

You feel dissatisfied...

And no one gets served...

You waste more time on the wrong path for you...

AND NO ONE GETS SERVED!

You are thinking TOO MUCH and I know it seems to be the sensible thing to do but all your current thinking has gotten you this sensible life that you do not much like.

So, maybe you want to try something different.

A more 'go with your gut' approach...

Something a bit more daring, for sure, but it keeps tugging at you anyway when you take a few moments to be quiet and listen!

So, why not act on it?

Maybe, just maybe it is your higher power trying to tell you to pay attention and go this unusual way that seems crazy but is exactly what you need to do to get to the next level.

I mean, right now... even as I write this, it all feels pretty touchy-feely and I pride myself on being a more practical, down-to-earth kinda girl but even I know that some things have to be acted on by faith.

There is not always rhyme or reason to the things that happen to you when you are on the more intuitive path.

I still remember getting my first property - The start of me being able to leave pharmacy forever...

And I was just acting on faith.

I had an inkling that a particular step was the next thing to do and so, instead of trying to figure it all out before taking the first step, I just decided to go put some adverts out for tenants. And I did not even have a property for them to live in yet but I decided to act on my inkling.

And as I acted on it, a landlord randomly offered me a property.

I could not have predicted that.

And even when he offered it to me, my more practical side was tempted to say 'no'! - It was all happening too quick, I was not ready yet but I saw the open door and courageously walked through.

And within a few months, I was creating enough income to take on a property manager and also to leave pharmacy.

And all because I dared to act on a hint, an inkling, rather than try to figure it all out before I even took one step.

Stop holding yourself back because you think that the next step seems crazy.

Act on it!

Step out in faith and do the thing!

Clarity is found in action, not in trying to figure it all out in your head. You do not have access to all the facts yet because your thinking is limited. It is only as you tap into intuition that you avail yourself of wisdom that is not immediately apparent to your more practical side.

I know it all seems a little crazy but hey, it works.

And when you are doing the lurking of other people's businesses, books, music or ministries, this is the part that they cannot explain to you, the part you cannot see. And so you try to distil out the step-by-step plan for success and something keeps eluding you and it is this part.

The part no one can explain...

The part that you only discover by having faith in the process.

Rise up and act on your intuition.

Take the next intuitive step boldly.

And then see what door opens next.

Sometimes, you will get it wrong, for sure!

But you will have learnt something and the next door will be even more apparent if you stay brave and courageous.

Stop overthinking.

Start acting.

Start taking massive action in the direction of your mission.

Stop second-guessing and doubting.

Just do not get caught up in measuring the wrong things.

It is so easy to get it wrong.

Each platform has its own way of telling you how successful you are at being social and you might think that that is the important thing.
However, the platform does not care about your sales or your wealth at all so when you use their measures to determine the success of your efforts, you end up making mistakes and paying attention to the wrong thing.

You have to decide what is important to you.

Here are a few things to consider when building your social media presence.

1. WHAT IS THE GOAL?

Are you looking to build an audience for your message? Then decide how you will measure that.

Are you looking to make more daily sales? Again, measure that

Start by getting clear on what you want out of social media so that you take focused actions that enable you to meet your goals.

2. WHERE ARE YOUR PEOPLE?

So, now you understand your goals, where are the people you want to meet or influence or sell to? Get clear on who your person is and where they spend most of their online time. YOu go build a presence there.

3. RAISE ENGAGEMENT

Ask questions of the people you want to attract into your world. Do surveys with them to see what is of interest to them. Read the books, blogs and magazines they read. Use this information to plan out your social media updates. This will help drive engagement with your prospects and make them feel part of a community where they are listened to and understood.

4. USE YOUR NAME

Do not hide behind a brand name or your company name. Build a social media platform around you, not your product or service. Let people see you and build a relationship with you rather than your logo. It is impossible to build a relationship with a logo!

5. GET SOME HELP

If you are uncertain about building your own platform, you can always get a social media marketing person to help you out and to manage it all for you. You got into business for freedom and the ability to express who you are in a way that is authentic to you so if this starts to feel a little too much, get someone else to help you. You were trained to be an employee.

Getting that great job was revered and almost worshipped.

Everything you know about the marketplace is based on employee thinking.

You feel so proud to be breaking free from the corporate world but you are bringing all your corporate ideas to the business world and it will not work.

For instance, you believe that the more hours you work, the more money you should make

You believe that if you get better and better at delivering your coaching/healing service then you will also make more money

You believe that people will just know how good you are at what you do and they will then throw money at you and so you do not give enough attention to marketing and sales strategy

And then add on your spiritual beliefs...

You believe that because you are obeying the Divine's calling within your heart then paying clients and cash will just be attracted to you without you doing anything physical to create them.

You believe that just because you love what you do and you have finally found the courage to start your purpose-aligned business, then money should just flow - All the gurus said so, right?! and the Divine is backing you up, right?!

And so, because it has not been easy to grow your business, you now believe that you are doing something wrong and so you spend lots of time healing and cleaning and seeking the Divine's will, instead of doing strategic things to grow your business.

Or worse, you just keep doing the same old, same old things that got you nowhere before and you hope that if you just stay on track, then everything will miraculously work because you are one with the Divine and the spirit of your ancestors are backing you up and all that good stuff.

And you do not even realise it but you are a people pleaser. You were programmed that way and so you keep creating low-cost or free products and services to 'sell' to the small audience you have managed to grow. They love you for it, they hardly buy anything but they keep telling you how good you are and how what you do is soooo needed and so, you keep killing yourself to serve these people who just suck you dry and you do not question it because it makes you feel like you are doing some good in the world.

But your business is NOT growing.

And every day, you lose more of your self belief.

Everyday, you wonder if you have what it takes.

You do.

I got serious about my business because I wanted to be the biggest influence on my 3 daughters.

I wanted to home educate them without feeling financially restricted.

I wanted to make money doing what I loved and being with those I loved.

I did not want my income to be capped anymore.

I was an unfulfilled well-paid pharmacist with lots of big dreams of impacting and empowering many through my big business but I had no follow through. I was too comfortable in my 'well-paid but capped' income.

I was not free to do what i wanted when I wanted with whoever I wanted.

And all was not as great as it seemed - I was massively in debt!

And so I went bankrupt just before the birth of my first daughter.

I had given so much of myself away, trying to be 'blessed to be a blessing'

I had been in deep depression for 4 years following that bankruptcy decision because I felt like a failure

I had also given birth to my other 2 daughters.

And I was facing the fact that I was going to have to put them in daycare because burying my head in the sand had not actually fixed my finances.

I woke up.

I wanted to show my daughters that they did not have to choose between having a career & money or having a family

I wanted to show them that they got to determine the terms of their life - they could have both.

I got serious.

Within 18 months, I was making multi 6 figures in my property business

But again, I realised that I had taken a false step into another career that did not light my soul

Thankfully, I had a coach who helped me admit what I truly desired

I surrendered to my vision of being coach and I freaking made it work with the help of my coach.

There have been many ups and downs

But I could never return to that old version of me, passively living the wrong life and telling myself that I had no choice, telling myself of all my responsibilities, blah, blah, BLAH!

Most average people live in fear of failure...

They are too scared to try anything new for fear of losing money, losing face and losing the will to live!

And they forget that they are the ones completely in control of what happens even if they hit the unlikely end-result of failure.

Yes, honey, you have all the power!

You get to determine whether you fail or whether you just learnt a new lesson and you grow from that lesson to hit a higher level of success.

It is NEVER failure until the moment you decide to quit for good and go back to an old, dissatisfying life. That is the only time you fail.

It is impossible to fail until that moment and you control that moment! YES, YOU DO!

Because that moment never has to arrive, that moment when you hang up your hat and stop forever - That moment need never happen to you. And you will be tempted, OH SO TEMPTED, at times to give up but you never have to.

If you realise that you are not the only one that has felt this way at times and in fact, some of the people you most highly admire have wanted to quit as well and yet, the only difference between you and them, is time, experience and the willingness to keep stepping.

They let their ego go so it stopped being about saving face.

And then they did what norms could not understand.

They faced seeming defeat and they kept stepping.

They maybe gave themselves a little second to gather themselves, they did not spend too much time dwelling on the past (except to pick up a lesson or two) and then they jumped straight into the next idea or they changed direction with their current idea.

They did something and kept doing something until they won the game they were playing.

They did not give unnecessary meaning to the hits they were taking - They did not make it mean they were not good enough and never could be, they did not make it mean that they did not have what it took, they did not make it mean anything completely demoralising.

They just assessed the result and changed direction to see if they could get a different result the next time.

They were fully committed to the birthing of their dream and nothing, not even soul crushing defeat, was going to stop them.

They took full responsibility for getting the result they wanted, rather than succumbing to a need to feel hard done by and 'woe is me'.

Can you find it in yourself to have such a mindset?

Absolutely yes!

It is already in you but maybe, you have not been called to tap fully into that yet.

Or maybe, you were waiting for me to write this so that you could understand that you are not alone in this.

You are not alone in feeling that nothing is working for you at the moment - Others have felt it, most have quit but the truly world class learnt the lessons and kept moving forward.
